4B students sorted and counted breakfast foods collected for the Calvin Presbyterian Church Cupboard

4B students had a ball sorting all the breakfast foods brought in from our wonderful lower school students. Once they were all sorted they counted in SPANISH to see what breakfast food we had the most of. We had a total of 68 cereal boxes, 52 juices, 37 other items such as syrups and jams, 25 granola bar boxes and 13 pancake mixes which brought the total to 195 breakfast foods. Way to go lower school !!!!!

2C students creating their Espana collage

Students are beginning to learn all about Spain now that we have finished reading Don Quixote and the Windmills. The children know that we will be saying Espana instead of Spain since we are "en la clase de espanol." Each child is designing their own unique collage with the information given on Espana.
